HENRY’S GYMNASIUM
A Different Kind of Gym for the Lake
Quiet is Eastlake’s default setting, which is exactly why Henry’s Gymnasium on Capitol Hill is worth the short trip when you want somewhere to actually push yourself. Our Capitol Hill location skips the 1909 blacksmith-shop backstory of the flagship, but the standard is identical: premium equipment, a full Recovery Suite, and a room that feels closer to a night out than an obligation.
Top-tier strength and cardio machines fill the floor. A Finnish sauna, cryo-sauna therapy, red-light therapy, and hydromassage round out the Recovery Suite. There’s a full-service bar too, pouring smoothies, pre- and post-workout drinks, beer, and wine. Affordable and inclusive, with none of the sterile gym-chain feel.

Push Harder, Then Pull Back
The equipment doesn’t cut corners: top-of-the-line strength and cardio machines, Olympic weights, free weights, and enough weight machines that you’re not waiting in line for one.
Recovery is where Henry’s really separates itself. Between a Finnish sauna, infrared salt sauna, red-light therapy, cryo-sauna therapy, and Hydromassage, there’s a real option no matter what you’re chasing that day, whether that’s heat, cold, or a mix of both. A rest day here is an actual plan, not just a workout you skipped.
Afterward, pull up a seat at the full-service bar for a smoothie, protein drink, beer, or glass of wine. More than 300 pieces of framed historical art and murals by local artist Izaya Colson give you plenty to take in while you’re there. It’s a good place to linger, not just pass through.
Built for Everyone on the Hill
No tagline here: every shape, size, color, creed, and orientation is genuinely welcome at Henry’s, and it shows in who actually shows up to train.
We back organizations doing real work in the community, Mary’s Place and Lambert House among them. That same value runs through the art on the walls. The murals and framed pieces throughout the gym say something about what kind of place this is, beyond decoration.
Something’s usually happening, whether it’s a community event or a local partnership. Social media is where to catch what’s coming up.
