HENRY’S GYMNASIUM

Your Bluff-Top Neighborhood’s Nearest Serious Gym

Magnolia is quiet on purpose. When you want the opposite of that, the short trip to Henry’s Gymnasium in Lower Queen Anne is worth it. The flagship location sits inside a 1909 building originally used to train blacksmiths on Model T Fords, though you’d never guess it from what’s running inside now: a nightclub sound system, more than 300 framed historical pieces, and murals by local artist Izaya Colson.

Premium strength and cardio equipment, a full Recovery Suite, a Finnish sauna, cryo-sauna therapy, red-light therapy, hydromassage, it’s all here. So is a full-service bar serving smoothies, pre- and post-workout drinks, beer, and wine. Affordable and inclusive, with a lot more personality than the typical neighborhood gym.

Equipment That Keeps Up With You

Top-of-the-line strength and cardio machines, Olympic weights, free weights, weight machines that are actually maintained. Nothing here feels like an afterthought.
The Recovery Suite is where Henry’s pulls ahead of a standard gym. A Finnish sauna, infrared salt sauna, red-light therapy, cryo-sauna therapy, and Hydromassage give you a real path to recovery, heat, cold, or both. After a week of Magnolia’s quiet, it’s a solid reset button.

A smoothie, protein drink, beer, or glass of wine is waiting at the full-service bar once you’re done. The workout brings you in. The rest of it is why people stay.

More Than a Membership

Every shape, size, color, creed, and orientation belongs at Henry’s Gymnasium, built as a space where people feel like they’re part of something, not just tolerated as members.

We support organizations doing real work: Mary’s Place and Lambert House. Art carries that same commitment forward. Murals and framed pieces throughout the gym add character rather than just filling wall space.

Live music, local partnerships, events, something’s usually going on. Social media is the best way to stay current.
